The Jupiler League in Belgium continues today with a derby between two out of form teams. Specifically, Charleroi host Gent as both sides try get back to winning ways. Analytically…
Charleroi vs Gent.
The “Zebras” didn’t win yet again in their last outing but their away draw against Zulte is considered a good result. Nevertheless, their winless streak extends to six games but they remain in 12th position given those below them haven’t been able to capitalise. There are no particular concerns.
In the opposing camp, Gent find themselves in 7th position just 2 points adrift of the promotion play-off places. Their form is similar to their opponents with just the one victory in the last seven games (1-2-4). It would appear their ambitions at the beginning of the season are becoming harder to attain. Thompson and Myrie are ruled out, while Azofeifa is doubtful.
Selection: I can’t separate the teams and will go with Goal-Goal, with over 2.5 goals my second selection.
