The teams drew 0-0 in their first clash.
York are not one of the strongest teams in the Conference as they head into most games with a defensive outlook which explains why they have 7 draws in 18 games to date. They are very low in the table (19th) and have yet to taste victory this season. On Saturday in their last league outing they drew 1-1 against Wrexham. Whilst they do not have absentee concerns ahead of today’s game they are likely to still make changes.
Rotherham couldn’t get through to the next round when they met York on home soil last week, as their opponents parked the bus in front of goal playing an ultra defensive game which hindered Le Fondre and company from scoring. They have been out of form recently given their recent results haven’t been the best. Last Tuesday they were knocked out of the League Trophy after being thrashed 2-5 at home by Huddersfield. In League 2 action they managed to get back to winning ways after a winless run of 3 games with a 2-1 victory over Oxford United thanks to a brace from Le Fondre. Midfielder Randall is unavailable.
