The runners-up from Switzerland and Turkey meet in this clash and the visitors will probably have more support at the stadium than the home side!
Young Boys - Fenerbahce
The hosts finished runners-up in Switzerland last season but their main key players have left the club, as Gilles Yapi moved to Basel, Marc Schneider to Thun and last season's league top scorer with 30 goals in 32 matches Seydou Doumbia on his way to Russia and CSKA Moscow. New acquisitions include young African Emmanuel Mayuka, who at this stage cannot be a full replacement for Doumbia. Head coach sticks with his 3-4-3 formation and is unlikely to change that today.
The visitors didn't win the title in Turkey last season which resulted in a change in coach (former director of football Aykut Kocaman was installed). They haven’t really conducted any decent transfer business and they are looking to sell Guiza, who last season was their most dangerous striker. Given the club haven’t won the title for some years now it would come as no surprise is Kocaman (former player with distinction) also went by the wayside.
Selection: The Turkish supporters will win the battle in the stands but on the pitch there is no way of comparing the teams. AWAY WIN |
