Hello my BetHome.com friends. Let us take you straight to Group D and the match between Ghana and Australia.
Ghana - Australia.
Ghana might not have played their best against Serbia, but the result is what counts. Nevertheless, whether they win or lose today, the negative issue is that they will have to avoid loss against Germany as well (if Serbia beat Australia) so we do not have 3 teams with 6 points. Ghana surprised us with their starting squad, leaving Appiah on the bench, something that might happen again today. On the other hand, Muntari is expected to start, after having recooperated from his injury, although it is still possible for him to sit on the bench. As a team, they do not have that many automated movements and suffered quite a lot in the match, while they managed to score with a penalty and after their opponents played with 10. Nevertheless, they still are the only African team that started off the World Cup with a win.
In Australia, things are not going that well. The red card that Cahill faced,, one of their best players means that he will miss today's match. The team received 4 goals by Germany and the manager (who is going to leave the team after the World Cup) is being severely criticized. Harry Kewell is expected to start today, after missing the first match due to injury, while other players who were left out, are expected to start today. So, Josh Kennedy will start in offence, while Bresciano will switch places with Kewell on the left and right (although he will probably start as a left offender in the 4-3-3). There is a possibility for Chipperfield or Moore to start.
probable line-ups:
Ghana (4-4-2): Kingson - Pantsil, Mensah, Vorsah, Sarpei - Annan, Muntari, Appiah(Tagoe), Ayew, Asamoah, Gyan
Australia (4-3-3): Schwarzer - Wilkshire, Neill, Moore (Milligan), Chipperfield - Emerton, Culina, Grella - Kewell, Bresciano, Kennedy
Selection: Australia have a lot to prove and Schwarzer is one heck of a keeper. With the team having to give everything they have, i will risk the pick on the AWAY WIN (2). |
