Good morning BETHOME punters, as the Group C nations play their second game of the tournament today. After the results of their opening clashes there is everything to play, so let’s not waste any further time and get straight into the previews…
Slovenia - USA
Slovenia find themselves heading the group after beating Algeria and a win today would virtually assure them a place in the following round, in what is their only second appearance at the World Cup finals. They are trying to prove all the pundits wrong that had them down as the group’s third best team with no chance of making the knock-out stages. Kek is expected to name the same starting line-up that was successful against Algeria.
Probable Line-up: Handanovic, Brecko, Suler, Cesar, Jokic, Birsa, Koren, Radosavljevic, Kirm, Dedic, Novakovic.
The Americans began their tournament on the right foot with a 1-1 draw against group favourites England but they will be under a different type of pressure today as they have no other option but to win if they want to make the round of 16. Head coach Bob Bradley is considering to field an attacking formation which will apply pressure from the very outset so its likely they will head out in a 4-3-3 formation.
Probable Line-up: Howard, Cherundolo, DeMerit, Onyewu, Bocanegra, Donovan, Bradley, Clark, Dempsey, Altidore, Buddle.
Selection: I think the Americans have this game in the bag so I will be backing them at odds in the order of 1.90.
