Naval vs Guimaraes.
Naval host Guimaraes at the Bento Pessoa hoping to pull off a victory that will give them some much needed breathing space on the table. In their last league outing they travelled to the Dragao to take on Porto and lost 1-3, however they were on level terms until the 80th minute but conceded twice in the last ten minutes. Attacking midfielder Bolivia (14 apps) and left back Camora (17 apps, 1 goal) are back in training, while forward Kerrouche (13 apps, 5 goals) and forward Marinho (17 apps) are back in the squad.
Guimaraes are playing some fine football at the moment but not always picking up the results they deserve. This happened when they lost 1-2 on home soil against Pacos in a game where they hit the post twice and squandered many opportunities after playing some fantastic football. Missing today is forward Douglas (16 apps), winger Targino (16 apps, 2 goals), defender Milhazes (5 apps). However, making their return are skipper Meireles (midfielder, 12 apps, 1 goal) and defender Andrezinho (15 apps, 2 goals).
Selection: This will be a close match as Naval come off important home win against opposition of the same caliber but they do still have a problem in scoring. Guimaraes have only lost one of their last 4 away games, which was a hard fought defeat against Benfica. I am thing of taking a risk on the away win. |
