Benfica will host the season’s surprise packet Leiria at the Da Luz tonight as they hope to continue their push for this season’s title. On Saturday they prevailed 3-1 over Guimaraes which included two goals from Carlos Martins in the second half. Although they were down a player for the last 20 minutes they never came under threat and kept their two goal lead intact. They have been very strong at home with 8 wins and a draw in 9 games with only just 1 goal conceded. Carlos Martins is unavailable tonight, while Keirrison has left the club and is on his way to Fiorentina.

 

Leiria defeated Olhanense 2-0 at home and moved into 5^th spot just 1 point behind Sporting and the fourth spot that leads into Europe. It was their fourth win in the last five and they look to be in good form. Left back Ronny is unavailable along with injured midfielder Soares.
