The 14th round of Portuguese fixtures gets underway today with the clash between Pacos and Braga, which is an important encounter mainly for the visitors…
P.Ferreira vs Braga
Pacos host a strong Braga team at the Estadio da Mata Real hoping to put in a good performance and get a decent result. In the last round they managed their first home victory of the season against Nacional, which gave them some much needed breathing space. The 2-1 victory was highlighted by a fantastic game by forward William. They opened the scoring just before the half time interval but conceded an equalizer after 55 minutes. They were back in front on 62 minutes and held on to their lead until the end of the match. Left back Jorginho, reserve forward Carlitos and reserve midfielder Pacheco.
Braga dropped their first points on home soil when they had to settle for a scoreless draw against Naval. They didn’t play well at all and the result could be considered a fair one given the well organised defence of the visitors. In fact, Naval could have pinched it at the end as the broke on the counter but Braga were speared defeat by the post. Domingos stated that tonight’s game will be a tough one given the small pitch dimensions of the ground, while he hopes Sunday’s derby ends in a draw. Regular defensive midfielder Vandinho is suspended.
Selection: Braga will have a tough time of it tonight and if they manage to win will have fought very hard. I think the game will be decided by a goal. UNDER 2.5 goals
